This month we are featuring Vision Financial Partners, a financial planning firm based out of our Downtown Orlando location. We spoke with Founder Christopher DiNatale about their work with other small businesses and what makes them different from other financial planners.

Tell us about your company. What services do you provide?

Vision Financial Partners takes the approach of becoming our clients’ personal financial architects offering ourselves as our clients’ single point of reference on all aspects of financial advisory and wealth management.

When did you originally start your company?

Vision Financial Partners first opened our doors January of 2014 however my partner Michael Marshall and I have a combined 30 years experience in the financial services industry.

What were yours and Michael’s individual career paths? What drove you to partner up and start this business?

Michael started in the banking world and moved over to MetLife in 2010. I was an actuary and pension specialist for many years before I went over to MetLife in 2010 as their pension specialist. Mike and I made a good partnership as he was very good with the investments and I was very good with the planning. We fit well and our clients appreciate both of our skill sets. We partnered at MetLife and then at the end of last year decided we could offer and help our clients more by opening our own office and being independent. Starting Vision Financial Partners allows our clients to have access to every investment and insurance product on the market along with the latest technology to stay on track of their financial plan and investments.

What made you decide to become independent?

My partner and I started Vision Financial Partners in hopes to provide a truly independent platform for our clients so that they can benefit from every product available without limitation.

What sets you apart from other financial planners? Why choose Vision Financial Partners?

What sets us apart from other Financial Planners is the care and attention to detail we give to all of our clients, regardless of their net worth. Every one of our clients is offered our eMoney system. Our attention to detail comes from our experience. We know that every client situation is different and that some solutions can be great for some people, yet will not work for others. That is why we take the extra time and effort to learn every detail about our clients situations and in doing so we get to know our clients so well, they almost become our second family.

What do you like most about running your own business?

The freedom and flexibility of creating our own schedule.

What is your greatest challenge in running your own business?

Finding new and qualified clients that share our vision.

What is your ideal client like?

Vision Financial has two markets of clientele. We typically deal with those about to retire or have retired already and help them with their income solutions and tax planning. With retirement comes the fear of outliving your money and we have a sound system that helps our retired clients put that fear to rest.

We also work with local businesses in creating benefits for themselves and their employees. Like individuals, each business we work with has its own unique challenges. Our planning system allows us to look at each business and provide the right solutions to not only help the business grow but to allow the business owner to get the most out of their hard work.

How do you enjoy spending your free time?

When my wife and I are not helping out with the “Make a Wish” foundation we are typically remodeling our home and taking care of our 5 year old daughter. My partner Mike likes to fish and play golf. Mike is also an avid high school football fan (Go Dreadnaughts!)

How do you manage to maintain a balance between work and free time?

Time management and proper scheduling. Chelsea Davis, our marketing coordinator and scheduler insures that we maintain a proper balance. For both our sanity and hers.
