Tell us about your company. What services do you provide?

Nava Pets is an all-natural pet care company established in 2013. Our commitment is create solutions in an Organic, and Eco-Friendly manner to resolve common pet issues. We create unrefined products that are safe, and gentle to use. At Nava Pets, we provide health and wellness for your best friend naturally.

What made you decide to start your own business?

Nava Pets began with my white poodle Maxie, she had severe skin allergies and typical shampoos or treatments brought an adverse reaction to her skin. Out of utter frustration and concern, I wanted to make a shampoo that was safe, organic, and truly effective. In 2013, that brought the birth of our first product; Nava Pets Organic Dry Pet Shampoo. Its unique herbal, powder formula requires NO WATER use and especially great for in-between bath time or grooming. Our shampoo eliminates foul odors, and itchy skin, while restoring to a healthy coat.

Since then, we have expanded and grown to developing a full USDA Organic Pet Care Line for household companions. Our unique blends address various common skin problems, such as itchy skin, allergy flare ups, or inflammation to restoring a full healthy fur coat and paws. Nava Pets’ products contain the finest certified organic and food grade ingredients, we have no artificial ingredients or fragrances; which could be highly toxic to pets. Many of our ingredients are well known and are currently being used in other organic pet products or recognized as supplements by natural or preventative health specialists.

Are your products only for dogs, or do you provide pet care products for other pets?

Our products are available for dogs and cats. However, we recently add a product for small animals such as hamsters, guinea pigs or rabbits.

Where can someone interested find your products? Do you have a storefront or an online store?

Our products are available online through our navapets.com, Amazon, Open Sky, Etsy, Bonanza etc. We recently opened a retail location at Artegon Marketplace, 5259 International Drive, Suite B-2L, Orlando, FL 32189.

What do you like best about running your own business?

Being able to wake up every morning and doing what I passionately love. All this while helping others with their best furry friends!

What is the greatest challenge you face in running your own business?

My greatest challenge is being able to stay creative and developing new products, while remaining cash flow positive as a start-up business.

How do you enjoy spending your free time?

Spend time with my husband and my family, go to the beach and travel.

How do you keep a balance between work and free time?

You must prioritize based upon what’s important for you in your life. Being an entrepreneur, you can get consumed with your business and forget what brought you their in the first place. When I am balance, it allows me to move towards the future gracefully, but not forget where I’ve been.

All things work together for good; though the journey is rough the end result is according to plan and purpose.

What advice do you have for anyone that’s interested in getting into event planning?

It’s a lot of work, but it can also be a lot fun. If you have patience, are able to think on your feet, and love makepeoples’ dreams and visions come true, event planning may be for you!
